Die Zahl der Verkehrsunfälle in diesem Jahr hat im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum abgenommen. Dies teilte der Verkehrsunfallfonds auf Nachfrage gegenüber Hitradio Namibia mit. Demnach gab es bis zum 31. Mai landesweit 1629 Unfälle, was einem Rückgang von sechs Prozent entspricht. Ebenso habe die Zahl der Verletzten um sechs Prozent auf knapp 2800, die der im Straßenverkehr getöteten Personen sogar um 10 Prozent auf nun 262 abgenommen. Am meisten Unfälle gab es in der Hauptstadt-Region Khomas.

Die Nutzung von Grauwassersystemen im Stadtgebiet von Windhoek ist unter Strafe verboten. Dies stellte die Stadt in einem Informationsflyer und in Sozialen Medien klar. Zudem verbietet die Stadt die Speicherung von städtischem Wasser und die Nutzung von nicht freigegebenem Wasser auf Grundstücken im Stadtgebiet.
