Trigon Metals und CENORED haben ein Abkommen über eine Zusammenarbeit zur Wiederaufnahme des Betriebes bei der Kombat-Kupfermine abgeschlossen. Das teilte das kanadische Bergbauunternehmen in einer Presseerklärung mit. Demnach habe man sich bereits im April mit dem lokalen Stromversorger auf ein Abkommen zur Elektrifizierung der Mine und einer Aufwertung des bestehenden Stromnetzes geeinigt. Auch die Ortschaft Kombat selbst werde davon profitieren, so das Unternehmen. Die Kombat-Kupfermine soll nach Angaben von Trigon Metals Ende des Jahres wieder den Betrieb aufnehmen.
