Die Entwicklungsbank DBN hat acht Millionen Namibia Dollar zur Förderung von 28 ländlichen Jugendprojekten in die Hand genommen. Im Rahmen des Harambee-Wohlstandsplanes wurde das Projekt zum Aufbau von Kleinunternehmen bzw. Förderung dieser ins Leben gerufen. Premierministerin Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila bezeichnete das Engagement der DBN als wichtigen, wen auch kleinen Schritt, die Armut der Jugend vor allem auf dem Lande zu mindern. Es gehe darum langfristig eine Perspektive zu schaffen. Übergeordnetes Ziel sei die Schaffung von 121 nachhaltigen Kleinunternehmen, die direkt 1210 neue Arbeitsplätze schaffen sollen.
