In der letzten Juli-Woche sind insgesamt elf mutmaßliche Wilderer festgenommen worden. Das teilte das Umweltministerium heute mit. Eine Person wurde demnach bei Outjo mit dem Kadaver eines Nashorns erwischt, in Rundu und Otjondeka in der Kunene-Region wurden zwei Personen im Besitz von Elefantenstoßzähnen verhaftet. In den weiteren Fällen wurden Tierprodukte von Schuppentieren, Pythons und einem Gnu sichergestellt. Alle Verhafteten sind namibische Staatsbürger, sie müssen sich nun vor Gericht verantworten.
