Unter Tränen bat der „Fishrot“-Angeklagte Ricardo Gustavo gestern das Gericht ihn auf Kaution freizulassen. Er argumentierte dabei mit der namibischen Verfassung, wonach seine Kinder ein Recht auf Schutz hätten, wofür er nötig sei. Er schlug vor unter strengsten Auflagen in Hausarrest zu gehen. Zudem könne er mit Hilfe seiner Familie 100.000 Namibia Dollar als Kaution hinterlegen. Gleichzeitig sagte Gustavo, dass er zwischen 2014 und 2019 etwa 19 Millionen Namibia Dollar verdient habe. Abgesehen davon seien die Anschuldigungen der Anklage falsch, dass er in Geldwäsche und Korruption verwickelt sei.
