Staatspräsident Hage Geingob rief alle Staaten auf, am gemeinsamen Ziel der Entwicklung zum Wohle der Menschen und zur Wahrung des Friedens mitzuarbeiten. Dies sagte er aus Anlass des 75. Geburtstages der UNESCO in Paris. Die COVID19-Pandemie habe gezeigt, wie wichtig es für die Welt sei an einem Strang zu ziehen und die armen Länder zu unterstützen. Die Pandemie könne vor allem schwache Staaten um Jahren in ihren Bemühungen nach Entwicklung zurückwerfen. Vor allem die Bildung sei einer der wichtigsten Aspekte zur Förderung sich entwickelnder Staaten, betonte Geingob. – Geingob ist gestern nach einem längeren Auslandsaufenthalt wieder nach Namibia zurückgekehrt.
