Namibia hat in weltweitem Vergleich weiterhin mit einem langsamen Internet zu kämpfen. Neuesten Auswertungen des Portals Speedtest nach liegt Namibia im weltweiten Vergleich auf dem 107 bzw. 145 Platz. Im Mobilfunkbereich werden durchschnittlich 23 Megabit pro Sekunde im Download erreicht. Langsamer geht es im Festnetz mit nicht einmal 20 Mbit/s zu. In den letzten Monaten sind den Angaben nach jedoch deutliche Geschwindigkeitsverbesserungen zu beobachten. – Die höchsten durchschnittlichen Downloadgeschwindigkeiten weltweit erreichen die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate mit 238 Mbit pro Sekunde im Mobilfunk bzw. Singapur mit 255 Mbit/s im Festnetz.
