Ephraim Nekongo hat sich in seinem ersten Interview nach seiner Ernennung zum Parlamentarier für eine Aufhebung der sogenannten Roten Linie ausgesprochen. Gegenüber der Nachrichtenagentur Nampa erklärte er, dass er sich als Abgeordneter für die Abschaffung von rückständigen Gesetzen einsetzen werde. Der Veterinärzaun gehöre dazu, so Nekongo. Auch der SWAPO-Jugendflügel setze sich dafür ein. Der SPYL-Sekretär war gestern durch Präsident Hage Geingob zum nicht stimmberechtigten Parlamentarier ernannt worden. Er ersetzt den ehemaligen Staatsbetriebsminister Leon Jooste, der zuletzt sein Ministeramt und sein Parlamentsmandat niedergelegt hatte.
