In Südafrika hat ein parlamentarisches Gremium seine Untersuchungen rund um die Vorwürfe gegen Präsident Cyril Ramaphosa im Zusammenhang mit dem Einbruch auf dessen Farm Phala-Phala abgeschlossen. Dem Staatsoberhaupt wird vorgeworfen, versucht zu haben, den Vorfall zu vertuschen. Das Gremium überreichte heute seinen Abschlussbericht. Er soll am 6. Dezember dem Parlament und damit auch der Öffentlichkeit vorgelegt werden. Das Ergebnis soll eine Empfehlung sein, ob sich Ramaphosa aufgrund der Vorwürfe einem Amtsenthebungsverfahren stellen muss. Der südafrikanische Präsident hatte jegliches Fehlverhalten stets zurückgewiesen. Laut Parlamentspräsidentin Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula soll die Nationalversammlung nach Überprüfung des Berichts in der kommenden Woche über mögliche weitere Schritte abstimmen.
