Die namibische Straßenbehörde (RA) zieht offenbar die Einführung von Mautgebühren für verschiedene Straßen des Landes in Betracht. In einem Interview mit The Brief erklärte RA-Geschäftsführer Conrad Lutombi, dass dies eine Möglichkeit zur nachhaltigen Finanzierung der Instandhaltung von Namibas Straßen sei. Eine entsprechende Studie sei abgeschlossen worden und liege nur der Regierung vor. Diese müsse schlussendlich die Entscheidung über eine mögliche Einführung von Mautgebühren fällen, so Lutombi.
