Der Fischereisektor kann im Jahr 2023 nicht mit großem Wachstum rechnen. Das berichtet der Finanzdienstleister Simonis Storm. Die Analysten gehen demnach nicht davon aus, dass die Fangquoten in naher Zukunft angehoben werden. So sei maximal ein Wachstum von 1,3 Prozent im laufenden Jahr möglich. Dies könnte auch deutliche Auswirkungen auf die gesamte Wirtschaftsleistung Namibias haben. Im vergangenen Jahr machten Fischexporte 12,5 Prozent der Ausfuhren des Landes aus. Im Jahresvergleich wurde dabei 2,8 Prozent mehr Fisch exportiert als noch 2021. Auch für den Landwirtschaftssektor sagen die Analysten für dieses Jahr maximal ein leichtes Wachstum voraus.
