In Simbabwe soll deutlich härter gegen Unternehmen vorgegangen werden, die versuchen die offiziellen Währungskurse zu untergraben. Dies kündigte Zentralbankgouverneur John Mangudya an. Demnach würden die Wechselkurse manipuliert werden, weil Unternehmen auf dem illegalen Schwarzmarkt handeln würden. Zudem würden diese mehr Devisen halten, als ihnen gesetzlich erlaubt sei. Vielfach würden auf US-Dollar-Auktionen Scheinunternehmen eingesetzt werden, die die Preise künstlich in die Höhe treiben würden. Diese Unternehmen sorgen für den Zusammenbruch der simbabwischen Wirtschaft, heißt es weiter von Mangudya.
