Trotz leichter Verbesserungen im dritten Quartal des Jahres bleibt der Viehmarkt in Namibia weiterhin unter Druck. Das geht aus Zahlen des Fleischrats hervor. Demnach wurden in den vergangenen drei Monaten sowohl bei Rindern, als auch bei Schafen und Schweinen leicht erhöhte Schlachtzahlen registriert. Im Gesamtjahresvergleich bleiben die Zahlen allerdings weiterhin niedrig. In allen drei Sektoren werden auch bis zum Ende des Jahres nur leichte Erholungen erwartet. Der wichtigste Auslandsmarkt für Fleisch und Lebendviehexporte bleibt derweil nach wie vor Südafrika.
