Zwei Mitarbeiter der Windhoeker Stadtverwaltung wurden nach einem Elektroschock zur Behandlung nach Südafrika geflogen. Dies bestätigte nun der Stadtsprecher Harold Akwenye gegenüber dem Namibian. Der Vorfall habe sich bereits am Montag bei einer Explosion während Instandhaltungsarbeiten an Stromleitungen in Otjomuise ereignet. Die beiden Mitarbeiter befinden sich in ärztlicher Behandlung in Kapstadt beziehungsweise Johannesburg. Derzeit ist die Stadt noch mit der Ursachenfindung beschäftigt. Man werde alles daransetzen, dass ein solcher Vorfall nicht wieder passiert, versicherte Akwenye.
