Die Zinkmine Rosh Pinah wird weiter ausgebaut. Hierfür erhielt das Bergbauunternehmen Trevali umgerechnet etwa 1,7 Milliarden Namibia Dollar. Dies berichtet „Mining Weekly“. Die Vorarbeiten zur Ausweitung der Bergbauaktivitäten in Südnamibia laufen bereits seit einigen Monaten. Nun stehe die Finanzierung für RP2.0, heißt es von Geschäftsführer Ricus Grimbeek. Der Abbau von Zink soll durch die Investitionen von 700.000 auf 1,3 Millionen Tonnen pro Jahr nahezu verdoppelt werden.
