IOC-Präsident Thomas Bach will saubere russische Leichtathleten bei den Olympischen Spielen in Rio starten lassen. Dies teilte das Internationale Olympische Komitee am Nachmittag nach einem Spitzentreffen mit. Voraussetzung für eine Teilnahme ist, dass die Sportler sich außerhalb des maroden Anti-Doping-Systems Russlands aufhalten und testen lassen müssen. Russlands Sportminister Mutko sagte, Russland sei für eine Teilnahme sauberer Athleten bereit, alle Bedingungen des IOC einzuhalten.
