In Angola sind mehr als 3000 Ärzte in den Streik getreten. Sie verlangen bessere Arbeitsbedingungen und mehr Geld, berichtet die örtliche Presse. Vor dem Hintergrund zunehmender COVID19-Fallzahlen sei es nicht mehr zumutbar für welches Geld und in welchem Umfeld die Ärzte für den Staat arbeiten müssen, heißt es von der Ärztegewerkschaft des Landes. Dem Staat wurde ein Ultimatum von 30 Tagen gestellt. Bis dahin würden nur noch Notfälle und kritische Patienten behandelt werden. Laut der Gewerkschaft betrifft der Streik etwa 60 Prozent aller Ärzte in Angola.
