Die Namibia Airports Company (NAC) erwartet durch den möglichen Abbau von Erdöl einen Boom am Internationalen Flughafen Hosea Kutako. Einem Bericht von The Brief nach brauche man für den dann nötigen Ausbau bis zu drei Milliarden Namibia Dollar. Laut NAC-Geschäftsführer Bisey |Uirab werde dadurch die Kapazität auf bis zu fünf Millionen Passagiere im Jahr erhöht. 2023 begrüßte der Flughafen knapp 800.000 Reisende. Die Kapazitätsgrenze von eine Million Passagieren werde vermutlich in spätestens fünf Jahren erreicht. Man halte zudem an den kurzfristigen Planungen zum Bau eines weiteren Terminals und dem Ausbau des VIP-Terminals fest.
