Angola will seine Abhängigkeit von Öl-Importen verringern. Dazu wurde gestern eine neue Anlage zur Steigerung der Verfeinerungskapazitäten eingeweiht. Die Spritproduktion des Landes soll damit auf 1,5 Millionen Liter pro Tag angehoben werden. Laut den angolanischen Behörden sollen so die Spritimporte um 15 Prozent reduziert werden. In den kommenden Jahren sollen zudem drei weitere Öl-Raffinerien errichtet werden. Angola gehört zu den größten Öl-Exporteuren in Afrika. Allerdings produziert das Land nur rund 20 Prozent des eigenen Bedarfs an raffinierten Erdölerzeugnissen.
