Die Fleischindustrie hat im zweiten Quartal des Jahres ein deutliches Wachstum verzeichnet. Nach Angaben des Fleischrats stiegen sowohl die Exportzahlen von Lebendvieh, als auch von Fleischprodukten im Jahresvergleich deutlich. Zwischen April und Juni wurden über 3.000 Tonnen Rindfleisch exportiert. Das sind über 2.300 Tonnen mehr als noch im selben Zeitraum 2021. Auch die lokale Schweinefleischproduktion stieg um 14 Prozent auf rund 1.150 Tonnen. Zudem verdoppelte sich die Anzahl der vermarkteten Schafe beinahe. Der Fleischrat geht zudem vor allem bei der Rindfleisch- und Schweinefleischproduktion von weiterem Wachstum in den kommenden Monaten aus.
