Afrikas größter Airport OR Tambo in Johannesburg hat Probleme mit der Flugbenzinversorgung. Wie die dortigen Behörden mitteilten, sei es derzeit kaum möglich Nachschub von „Jet A1“ an den Flughafen zu bekommen. Dies sei den Auswirkungen der Unwetter in der Provinz KwaZulu-Natal geschuldet, wodurch die Transportinfrastruktur zerstört wurde. Es mussten bereits Flüge, darunter von United Airlines in die USA abgesagt werden. Der Treibstoffmangel dauert noch mindestens einige weitere Tage an, teilte die South African Petroleum Industry Association mit.
