Die private Fluggesellschaft FlyNamibia hat ihren Einspruch gegen eine Zulassung der geplanten neuen Fluglinie Fly Etosha Airways zurückgezogen. Dies geschehe als Reaktion auf die heftige Ablehnung, die der Einspruch in der Öffentlichkeit hervorgerufen habe. Man habe den Schritt als übliche Praxis innerhalb der Luftfahrtindustrie angesehen. Deshalb sei man von der negative Reaktion zwar überrascht, habe aber seinen Ansatz überdacht. In einer ersten Mitteilung hatte FlyNamibia von einer Fülle an Aspekten gesprochen, die einem sicheren Betrieb von Fly Etosha widersprächen. Laut Fly Etosha-Gründer William Ekandjo wolle man zur Jahresmitte erstmals abheben. Noch stehen aber die notwendigen Lizenzen aus.
