Die Regierung hat die Corona-Maßnahmen deutlich gelockert. Präsident Hage Geingob verkündete heute ein Ende der Maskenpflicht in Namibia zum 16. März. Zudem wird die Versammlungsgröße auf 1000 Personen angehoben. Vollständig geimpfte Reisende müssen unter den neuen Bestimmungen bei der Einreise keinen PCR-Test mehr vorweisen. Präsident Geingob warnte trotz der Lockerungen davor, von einem Ende der Pandemie zu sprechen. Die Abschaffung der meisten Regularien bedeute nicht die Abschaffung des gesunden Menschenverstandes, so Geingob. Die neuen Maßnahmen gelten vorerst bis zum 15. April.
