Die Polizei hat am vergangenen Freitag mehrere mutmaßliche Wilderer verhaftet. Einem Polizeibericht zufolge wurden in Otjiwarongo zwei angolanische Staatsbürger im Besitz von Pangolin-Schuppen festgenommen. Sie sollen noch heute dem Haftrichter vorgeführt werden. Derweil stießen Beamten an einem Checkpoint in der Kavango-Ost Region auf zwei Elefantenstoßzähne. Ein Namibier wurde in diesem Zusammenhang in Gewahrsam genommen. Die Ermittlungen laufen.
