Nach einem Hunde-Angriff auf ein Kind in Swakopmund hat die Stadtverwaltung angekündigt, dass Tier einzuschläfern. Der Vorfall hatte sich am vergangenen Freitag in Mondesa ereignet. Der Polizei zufolge hatte ein Bekannter des Hundebesitzers den Stafford-Terrier von der Leine gelassen, woraufhin das Tier wegrannte und ein vierjähriges Mädchen angriff. Sie wurde mit schweren Bissverletzungen ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert. Ihr Zustand soll ernst, aber stabil sein. Wie eine Stadtsprecherin gegenüber Nampa erklärte, soll der Hundebesitzer insgesamt fünf nicht-registrierte Hunde halten. Es sei bereits der dritte Vorfall mit dem Tier, hieß es weiter.
