In Walvis Bay hat am Donnerstag ein Mann versucht ohne Erlaubnis eine erhebliche Menge Treibstoff zu verkaufen. Laut der Polizei war der Mann aus Sambia in Besitz von ca. 1700 Litern Diesel. Die Polizei geht davon aus, dass der Treibstoff gestohlen war und hat den Verdächtigen festgenommen. Auch in Katima Mulilo hat am Wochenende ein Mann mehrere Liter Diesel im Wert von knapp 9000 Namibia-Dollar gestohlen. Erst Anfang dieses Monats hat das Energie-Ministerium die Benzin- und Dieselpreise aufgrund des Ukraine-Konfliktes erhöhen lassen.
