Präsident Hage Geingob hat die anhaltenden Gespräche zwischen Ukraine und Russland begrüßt. Namibia glaube fest an internationale Völkerverständigung. Zum ersten Mal sprach Geingob dabei konkret von einem Krieg. Namibia wisse um das Leiden, dass Krieg mit sich bringe. In Gedanken sei man bei den Opfern. Im Rahmen seiner Rede zur Lage der Nation forderte Geingob einmal mehr das Recht auf nationale Selbstbestimmung für die Westsahara und Palästina, sowie eine Aufhebung der Sanktionen gegen Kuba.
