Hitradio Namibia Meine Musik. Mein Sender.
Namibia übernimmt ab heute den Vorsitz des Friedens- und Sicherheitsrats (PSC) der Afrikanischen Union (AU). Unter der Führung von Präsident Nangolo Mbumba hat Namibia diese Position für einen Monat inne. In der Zeit sollen nach Angaben des Außenministeriums insgesamt sechs Sitzungen stattfinden. Auf der Agenda steht dabei unter anderem die Sicherheitslage im Osten der Demokratischen Republik Kongo, in Mosambik, Somalia und im Grenzgebiet des Sudan und Südsudan. Dazu sollen auch mehrere Gremien der AU angehört werden. Am 23. März findet dann in Swakopmund ein Ministertreffen statt. Dabei sollen Richtlinien zur stärkeren Einbindung von Frauen Friedensprozesse auf dem Kontinent erarbeitet werden.
