Der Landwirtschaftsverband NAU will eine Studie zu den wirtschaftlichen Folgen von Viehdiebstahl und Wilderei aufstellen. Zusammen mit der technischen Universität NUST soll dazu eine Befragung unter Farmern durchgeführt werden. Wie NAU-Sprecherin Tanja Dahl gegenüber Hitradio Namibia erklärte, sollen damit erstmals konkrete Zahlen und Brennpunkte zu der Problematik vorgelegt werden. Die ersten Fragebögen sollen bis Ende März fertig sein und dann zunächst an Besitzer von Privatland ausgeteilt werden. Langfristig sollen aber landesweit auch die kommunalen Hegegebiete einbezogen werden.
