Südafrikas Staatspräsident Cyril Ramaphosa sieht den Ukraine-Krieg auch als Chance für Afrika. Kurzfristig sei der Kontinent besonders von unter anderem Nahrungsmittelknappheit bedroht, sagte Ramaphosa beim G7-Treffen in Deutschland. Mittelfristig sei es dem Kontinent aber möglich insgesamt unabhängiger von den westlichen Staaten zu werden und die Wirtschaft auf eigene Beine zu stellen. Schon die COVID19-Pandemie habe gezeigt, wie sich Afrika in vielen Bereichen selbst helfen könne. Ramaphosa hoffe, dass die größten sieben Wirtschaftsnationen der Welt die aktuelle schwierige Situation für den Kontinent aber durch Hilfen mildern wird.
