Südafrika hat sein weltweit einmaliges COVID19-Quarantäne und -Isolationsprotokoll nur zwei Tage nach Einführung zurückgerufen. Dies teilte das Gesundheitsministerium nun mit. Das Protokoll sah vor, dass Kontaktpersonen von COVID19-Positiven fortan nicht mehr in Quarantäne müssen. Sie sollten lediglich für maximal sieben Tage Vorsicht walten lassen, darunter Veranstaltungen meiden. Gleichzeitig wurden alle Quarantäneeinrichtungen geschlossen und nur noch Heimquarantäne war möglich. Das Ministerium rief diese Änderungen nun vorerst zurück um weitere Meinungen von Experten und der Öffentlichkeit einzuholen.
