Hitradio Namibia Meine Musik. Mein Sender.
Im vergangenen Jahr sind beinahe 233.000 Touristen nach Namibia gekommen. Das gab das Tourismusministerium heute bekannt. Das entspricht einem Anstieg von 37 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. Tourismusminister Pohamba Shifeta erklärte dazu heute: „Auch wenn die Ankunftszahlen noch nicht auf dem Niveau sind, das wir gerne hätten, hoffen wir, dass die Branche dabei ist, sich zu erholen.“ Für dieses Jahr hofft das Ministerium auf bis zu eine halbe Million Touristen. Beinahe die Hälfte aller ausländischen Reisenden kam im vergangenen Jahr aus Südafrika. Die wichtigsten Märkte danach waren Deutschland und Simbabwe. Während sich der europäische Markt langsam wieder fängt, gibt es noch keinerlei Erholung aus China und Nordamerika zu vermelden.
