Das namibische Kabinett hat die Vorschläge der Wirtschaftsrettungs-Task-Force abgesegnet. Dies berichtet der Namibian. Hierzu zählt insbesondere der vom Task-Force Vorsitzenden Thinus Prinsloo im April vorgeschlagene Ausbau der sogenannten Public-Private-Partnerships. Dies soll eine weitere Entwicklung des Staates unterstützen, da es dem Staat an Kapital für Investitionen fehle. Vor allem Langzeitprojekte sollen nun schnell angegangen und geeignete Partner aus der Privatwirtschaft gesucht werden. Zudem werde ein Unternehmenssicherungs-Fonds eingerichtet. Dieser soll im Notfall vor allem der Arbeitsplatzsicherung dienen.
