Namibia liegt bei der mobilen Internetgeschwindigkeit im Mittelfeld. Dem aktuellen „Speedtest Global Index“ von Oakla nach, kommt das mobile namibische Internet mit einer Downloadgeschwindigkeit von durchschnittlich 19 Mbit/s auf Weltrang 117. Bei der Festnetzgeschwindigkeit von nur 15 Mbit/s muss sich Namibia mit dem 150 Rang und damit dem unteren Drittel begnügen. In Afrika schneidet der Downloadspeed in Südafrika mit Weltrang 54 im mobilen Bereich und in Mauritius mit Rang 96 beim Festnetz am besten ab. Weltweit liegen bei der Downloadgeschwindigkeit im Mobilfunk die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate und Katar mit fast 300 Mbit/s mit Abstand vorne. Beim Festnetz ist es Singapur mit 264 Megabit pro Sekunde.
