Das Unternehmen Namibian Marine Phosphate hat sich zufrieden mit dem jüngsten Urteil des Obergerichts im Streit um den Phosphatabbau vor der Küste gezeigt. Laut einer Pressemitteilung werde die Gültigkeit der bereits 2011 ausgestellten Abbaulizenz durch die Entscheidung nicht beeinflusst. Richter Harold Geier hatte in der vergangenen Woche verfügt, dass die Firma nur mit einer gültigen Umweltunbedenklichkeitsbescheinigung Phosphat abbauen darf. Die Entwicklung für das sogenannte Sandpiper-Projekt sollen jetzt weiter vorangetrieben werden, hieß es von Seiten des Unternehmens.
