Die staatliche Roads Contractor Company steht mehr denn je finanziell mit dem Rücken an der Wand. Die RCC muss nun 100 Millionen Namibia Dollar zahlen, berichtet der Namibian. Dies sei das Ergebnis eines Schlichtungsverfahrens mit einem südafrikanischen Baukonzern. Die RCC und ihr Joint-Venture-Partner hatten versäumt das südafrikanische Unternehmen für Straßenbauprojekte zwischen 2012 und 2014 in der Region Sambesi zu bezahlen. Bereits jetzt belaufen sich die Schulden der RCC laut dem Unternehmen für Staatsunternehmen auf mindestens 600 Millionen Dollar.
