Nach gut 20 Jahren gewinnt die Proklamation der Bergbauortschaft Rosh Pinah zu einer eigenen Stadt wieder an Fahrt. Das berichtet der Namibian unter Berufung auf ein Stadtplanungsunternehmen. Demnach sei Rosh Pinah in einer ähnlichen Situation wie die Diamanten-Bergbaustadt Oranjemund. Diese erhielt vor einigen Jahren den Stadtstatus und kann sich nun auf die Zeit nach dem Diamantenabbau vorbereiten. Derzeit arbeite man bezüglich Rosh Pinah an einer Machtbarkeitsstudie, an deren Ende eine Empfehlung zur Proklamation als Siedlung, Dorf oder Stadt stehen könnte. Derzeit wird der Ort von dem Unternehmen RoshSkor Township verwaltet.
