Auch das neue Jahr 2023 hat mit niedrigen Unfallzahlen auf Namibias Straßen begonnen. Nach einer deutlich sichereren Ferienzeit wurden nun seit Jahresbeginn laut dem Verkehrsunfallfonds MVA lediglich zwei Verkehrstote registriert. Dies sind gut 85 Prozent weniger als im gleichen Vorjahreszeitraum. Gleichzeitig stieg die Zahl der Unfälle auf Namibias Straßen aber um etwa zehn Prozent. Auch bei den Verletzten gab es einen Zuwachs um etwa 30 Prozent auf 84. Insgesamt geht es auf Namibias Straßen aber in den vergangenen vier Jahren deutlich sicherer zu.
