Namibias Wirtschaft wird in diesem Jahr 1,5 Prozent wachsen. An dieser Zahl hält die Bank of Namibia auch in ihrem Dezemberausblick fest. Für 2022 werde ein noch deutlicheres Wachstum der namibischen Wirtschaft erwartet. Für das kommende Jahr rechnet die Zentralbank mit einem Wachstum von 3,3 Prozent, für 2023 gar mit 4 Prozent. Vor allem der primäre Sektor sei Zugpferd des Wirtschaftswachstums. Hier wird mit einem Wachstum von sechs Prozent im kommenden und 9 Prozent 2022 gerechnet. Die Inflation dürfte weltweit und auch in Namibia steigen, da der Bedarf das Angebot aufgrund der COVID19-Pandemie generell deutlich übersteige.
