In Windhoek sind am Wochenende 235 Personen wegen Verstößen gegen die Ausgangsbeschränkungen verhaftet worden. Weitere 15 Personen wurden wegen des illegalen Verkaufs von Alkohol inhaftiert. Das erklärte der Polizeichef der Khomas Region, Ismael Basson, laut der Nachrichtenagentur Nampa. Derweil gab das Informationsministerium bekannt, dass täglich rund 150 Personen mit Reisegenehmigungen über die Straßensperre zwischen Windhoek und Okahandja die Khomas Region verlassen würden. Das widerspräche nach Angaben von Informationsminister Peya Mushelenga dem Zweck der Reisebeschränkungen. Er rief dazu auf, nur dann zu reisen, wenn es absolut notwendig sei.
