Der um Freilassung auf Kaution bemühte Ex-Fishcor-CEO Mike Nghipunya hat Millionen nebenbei verdient. Dies gestand er bei der gestrigen Fortführung seiner Anhörung vor dem Obergericht ein. Die Nebentätigkeiten seien in voller Absprache mit dem Aufsichtsrat des staatlichen Fischereiunternehmens geschehen. Er sehe daran nichts Verwerfliches, gab Nghipunya zu Protokoll. Er habe als CEO 1,5 Millionen Namibia Dollar im Jahr bekommen und mit seinen weiteren Tätigkeiten etwa 15 Millionen Dollar über drei Jahre verdient. Die Buchprüfer hätten diverse unerklärte Transaktionen gefunden, betonte Vize-Ankläger Cliff Lutibezi. Darunter fallen auch Gelder die an Fangrechteinhaber geflossen sind, wozu Nghipunya gehöre.
