Hitradio Namibia Meine Musik. Mein Sender.
Präsident Hage Geingob nimmt am Wochenende am 36. Gipfeltreffen der Afrikanischen Union (AU) teil. Die Versammlung steht dabei ganz im Zeichen des afrikanischen Freihandelsabkommens (AfCFTA). In der äthiopischen Hauptstadt Addis Abeba soll besprochen werden, wie die Implementierung des ambitionierten Projekts beschleunigt werden kann. Durch das Abkommen soll der innerafrikanische Handel mehr als verdoppelt werden. Am Rande des Gipfeltreffens soll Geingob derweil heute bereits zu Gesprächen mit dem UN-Generalsekretär António Guterres zusammenkommen und an einer Sitzung des AU-Sicherheitsrats zur Situation in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo teilnehmen.
