Namibia muss im Kampf gegen die Korruption transparenter werden. Das erklärte Graham Hopwood, Direktor des Instituts für öffentliche Politik Forschung (IPPR), heute auf einer Informationsveranstaltung. In einem nun erschienenen Paper der IPPR wurde auf das Potenzial der offenen Auftragsvergabe in Namibia aufmerksam gemacht. Mit der Offenlegung von Verträgen würde es große Vorteile für die Bevölkerung, Firmen und Regierung geben. Die zurzeit herrschende Undurchsichtigkeit und die Diskretion im Vertragswesen würden die Korruption bestärken, so Hopwood weiter.
