LPM-Präsident Bernadus Swartbooi hat die anhaltende Pause der Nationalversammlung kritisiert. Über 30 Gesetze und Gesetzesänderungen und 15 Anträge seien noch immer nicht abschließend diskutiert worden, erklärte Swartbooi auf einer Pressekonferenz. Aktuell würden die Abgeordneten fürs Nichtstun bezahlt. Gleichzeitig kritisierte der Oppositionspolitiker, dass die Abgeordneten nicht, wie in anderen Ländern auch, online zusammenkommen würden. Der Pressesprecher des Parlaments, David Nahogandja, hatte gestern gegenüber Hitradio Namibia bestätigt, dass die Sitzungen erst am 7. September wiederaufgenommen werden. Dann soll auch diskutiert werden, wie und ob die bisher zwölf verlorenen Sitzungstage nachgeholt werden können.
