Deutsche Unternehmen wollen verstärkt in Afrika investieren. Das berichtet die Deutsche Welle unter Berufung auf den Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft. Demnach will nahezu die Hälfte der Mitgliedsunternehmen die Anstrengungen auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent intensivieren. Nur sieben Prozent sehen die Zukunft ihrer Unternehmen in Afrika nicht mehr so positiv und wollen ihr Engagement zurückfahren. Bei der Ausweitung wiederum dürfte die Energiewende eine entscheidende Rolle spielen. Davon könnten dann Staaten wie Namibia am stärksten profitieren. Christoph Kannengießer, Hauptgeschäftsführer des Afrika-Vereins, sagte dazu, dass sich das Bruttoinlandsprodukt hier verdoppeln und die deutschen Direktinvestitionen sich dem Niveau in Südafrika annähern könnten. Er sprach zudem von einem möglichen Gamechanger für Namibia.
