Nach der versuchten Bestechung von Mitarbeitern der Steuerbehörde NamRa sind insgesamt drei Verdächtige festgenommen worden. Darunter soll sich nach Angaben der Anti-Korruptions-Komission auch ein Mitarbeiter des Finanzministeriums befinden. Die Beschuldigten sollen versucht haben, Steuerschulden in Höhe von über N$ 270.000 durch die Zahlung von Bestechungsgeldern zu tilgen. Alle drei erschienen bereits in der vergangenen Woche vor dem Magistratsgericht in Windhoek. Sie wurden gegen die Zahlung einer Kaution in Höhe von N$ 5.000 wieder auf freien Fuß gesetzt, der Prozess gegen sie beginnt am 28. Oktober 2022.
