Namib Mills hat vor steigenden Preisen für Grundnahrungsmittel in Namibia gewarnt. Allein Getreide sei im vergangenen Monat um 43 Prozent teurer geworden. Vor allem der Krieg in der Ukraine und eine zu befürchtende Missernte in China würden zu den hohen Preisen beitragen. Auch bei Produkten wie Zucker, Reis oder Mais müsse ab dem kommenden Monat mit Preisanstiegen gerechnet werden. Konkrete Zahlen gab das Unternehmen jedoch nur bei Geflügelprodukten bekannt, die Ende April um 3 Prozent teurer werden sollen.
