Seit Ende September gelten erweiterte Regelungen zur Haltung und Nutzung von großen Raubtieren im Land. Dies teilte das Umweltministerium nun durch ein Amtsblatt mit. Die Vorgaben ersetzen die aus dem Jahr 2012. Die Haltung von Raubtieren zu touristischen Zwecken ist demnach untersagt. Zudem dürfen keinerlei Fotos von den Katzen in Gefangenschaft verbreitet werden. Ungeübte Personen dürfen generell nicht mit Löwe, Leopard, Hyäne, Wildhund und Gepard in Berührung kommen. Eine Züchtung der Raubtiere in Gefangenschaft ist ebenfalls untersagt worden.
