Hitradio Namibia Meine Musik. Mein Sender.
Die namibische Polizei will zukünftig Beamten besser im Umgang mit Medienschaffenden schulen. Ein entsprechendes Trainingsmodul wird dazu in den Grundlehrplan für Polizisten aller Dienstgrade aufgenommen. Es zielt darauf ab, die Förderung der freien Meinungsäußerung zu stärken und die professionellen Beziehungen zu den Medien zu verbessern. Das Modul wurde im vergangenen Jahr von Nampol in Zusammenarbeit mit UNESCO und lokalen Journalisten ausgearbeitet. Nach UNESCO-Angaben ist Namibia eines der ersten Länder in Afrika, das einen solchen Kurs anbietet. Damit werde ein entscheidender Schritt zur Schaffung eines freien und sicheren Umfelds für Journalisten und Medienschaffende getan, heißt es weiter.
