Die Regierung will im kommenden Jahr Fischfangrechte für 330.000 Tonnen Bastardmakrelen ausgeben. Das wurde laut Nampa bei der letzten Kabinettssitzung des Jahres beschlossen. Damit bleibt die Fangmenge identisch mit den in diesem Jahr ausgegebenen Rechten. Von den 330.000 Tonnen waren bei der letzten Auktion in diesem Jahr rund 87.000 Tonnen versteigert worden. Bei ersten Versteigerung von Fangrechten kamen rund 72.000 Tonnen unter den Hammer. Genaue Einzelheiten zur Vergabe der Fangrechte wurden vorerst nicht bekannt gegeben. Das Kabinett hat für 2022 jedoch auch die Freigabe von 4.200 Tonnen Krabben beschlossen.
